About Lprint
LPRINT is a French deep-tech start-up, supported by INRIA, X-Up, École Polytechnique. We are developing an innovative 3D printer for the additive manufacturing of industrial-grade multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Our mission is to transform the way PCBs are designed and manufactured, enabling faster, more flexible, and sustainable PCB production that empowers hardware engineers and product development teams.
Internship mission
You’ll work closely with our CTO on the core product. Your primary goal is to help develop embedded software on Jetson Nano, with a focus on building and refining a Qt-based user interface for controlling our laboratory prototype printer.
- Develop and adapt Qt/QML interfaces for Jetson Nano.
- Work on theming and styling (QSS).
- Integrate the GUI with core system control modules.
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows using Git.
- Collaborate with hardware engineer.
Requirements
You are capable of managing demanding projects with tight deadlines, while also enjoying a collaborative, fun team culture. You are eager to learn and take on responsibility.
- Knowledge of C++
- Experience with Qt, QML, and QSS
- Familiarity with Linux development (build, debug, deployment)
- Proficiency in using git
- Knowledge of the OpenCV library
- Experience working with Doxygen or similar documentation tools
- Attention to detail, precision, and eagerness to dive into complex systems
- Fluent English.
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) an engineering degree (Master 2 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electronics, Robotics, or Mechatronics from a French Grande École (e.g., École Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, Télécom Paris, INSA, UTC, EPITA, ENSTA, etc.).
Nice to have:
- Experience developing for embedded Linux systems (Jetson, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Basic knowledge of UART, SPI, and Ethernet communication
- Interest in hardware and rapid prototyping
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
